Well, I learned a bunch of things at All World Dance over the last few years of off and on dance blogging but I've decided to take that knowledge and use it for a new site I'm working on called DanceLand.
Right now I'm blogging dance videos and news with more on the way in both the blogging arena and beyond.
Ok, it's true that Dancing With The Stars will probably only have one hip hop dance related event but, given that Romeo is a rapper, his presence on the show is worth noting especially since first time around he was replaced by his dad, Master P. Romeo will appear on Dancing With The Stars debuting Monday, March 21st, with pro dancer partner Chelsie Hightower .
Romeo Seems to Be in Good Shape!
Let's assume that Romeo's in good enough shape to do the job and, hey, some people think he's a handsome man, but will he win because of his name? Kerrie Hopkins of Namezook thinks so. She's applying what she calls "Onamalogy", the study of names and their characteristics, to analyze the outcome. According to a press release, Hopkins considers "unique spelling, segmental phonemes, syllable structure, word fragments, and distinct characteristics or 'name markers.'
She states: "Overall - based on their names and teammate names - Romeo and his spirited, live wire partner Chelsie Hightower will win. Romeo wants respect, recognition and will do whatever it takes to win. His partner Chelsie is capable, motivated by money and will keep him laughing as he learns his routines."
But Will Romeo End Up All Wet?
Despite Romeo's name and his many successes in the performing arts, many will be looking to see him fail, from old school hip hop fans to folks that simply hate hip hop. What do you think? Will Romeo win the game or will he end up all wet?
